Bridal Beauty Bar

We had the craziest Friday here at found. In the morning, we loaded up Gunther (our beloved truck) with tables, chairs, desks, frames and accessories for a shoot with Green Wedding Shoes, JL Designs, MaeMae Paperie, Wildflower Linen and photographer Stephanie Williams at 12:30 in San Juan Capistrano, which I was beyond excited about! Meanwhile, my son was going to make his acting debut in a classroom play back in Fullerton at 1:30 pm.  We unloaded the truck in record timing and got back on the road with only 20 minutes to get back to Fullerton for the play. A fire drill at the school bought me some time. I frantically texted and called Joel, who was also rushing over after his own shoot. I parked the truck at the school and bolted for the classroom. I couldn’t have been any luckier; as I hit the door, my son started to read his first line. The smile on his face was worth every ounce of stress leading up to that moment.

The play was a success, but the Bridal Beauty Bar event at the studio was starting in just three hours. Back in the truck, I rushed to Studio EMP where the lovely Lindsey Longacre of LVL Weddings & Events was preparing for the party. Vendors were arriving and setting up their various stations throughout the studio.

The Studio was bustling Friday night with brides-to-be and wedding industry experts. Found collaborated with LVL Weddings & Events and Lisa Moon of Lisa Moon Events to host a beauty night for our brides, which showcased the work of various vendors- from hairstylists to musicians. Wine and champagne provided by Soquel Vineyards flowed as brides-to-be munched on a beautiful spread artfully arranged by 24 Carrots Catering & Events. Larrissa Rehder, Inviting Occasion Inc., stopped the show with her floral arrangements and installation. Her awesome installation comprised of books, birch wood flowers, ribbon, twine and candles hung from the ceiling. Guests were also wowed by her display of bridal bouquets and a centerpiece made of balsa wood, hydrangeas and peonies.

Make-up artist Lisa Nickerson and hairstylist Kristine Moon consulted with brides-to-be throughout the night.  Local business Lux Salon offered up bridal looks using their Aveda products.  Guests left with updos and potential make-up looks for their big day. Throughout the night, Denny White showcased his singing and piano skills with covers of current and classic songs. Summit Event Catering tried a new special treat for the event- brownie pops. Their dessert station featured brownies, chocolate dipped strawberries and the popular chocolate dipped brownie pops, which were all amazing.

We wrapped up the night with a raffle, in which various vendors donated stationary, bridal hair pieces and free hairstyling services on your wedding day. Our first bridal event was an incredible success and I was so excited to co-host with LVL Weddings & Events and Lisa Moon Events.  Thank you to all the vendors and guests!

Other vendors included, Inga from CHI, Shae Z Couture, and My Fit Life
