We are honored to be featured in Reverie Magazine’s Summer 2013 issue. Joy Proctor, wedding designer and stylist of Joy de Vivre, incorporated so many of our favorite pieces in this inspiring seaside shoot with Jose Villa.
The coastline alone is breathtaking. This fresh take on a beach wedding, leaves us wanting more! We hope you’ll be as captivated as we are.
I couldn’t be more excited this morning to share our take on Summer ’13 in our newest look book, “Feels Like Home.” This shoot developed from my recent picking trips and additions to the collection which have inspired me in many ways. In the last several months I have not been able to get enough of the gorgeously handmade indigo fabrics that grace the pages of this look book, leather whose distressed features tell the story of its past, and pieces with an Americana vibe. “Feels Like Home” is a portrayal of what I love about summer. It is the comfy and the intimate. It’s the family gathered around the dining table and the connection of friends forgetting the time in good conversation. It is 4th of July celebrations and nights under the stars. It is a sort of comfort that can be materialized in just about any setting….weddings, parties, or intimate affairs. It is home.
If you know me, you know I just love little ones. I would be a happy camper to always have one in my arms. Sweet little Olive is no exception…I mean, look at that face!
Lucky for Olive, she has a very talented Mom in Angel Swanson of Love and Splendor. Lucky for me, Angel is a dear friend of mine. I was lucky enough to be a part of Olive’s amazing 1st birthday celebration and I couldn’t be more excited to show off how Angel put some of my pieces to use. This sea-themed bash had all the oceans beautiful blues, handmade sail boats, a pillow + poof lounge, lots of fun sweets and was truly every child’s dream. Angel, you amaze me.
I’m all about intimate events. Whether a small wedding, bash or in this case, dinner party, there is something so wonderful about a gathering of close friends and family. That warmth, plus the eclectic and organic vibe makes this the perfect way to spend an evening. I can’t wait for the ideal summer night to recreate this dinner on my back porch.
I was so honored to be a collaborator on this shoot! I could honestly go on about each of the wonderful and talented individuals involved in bringing this colorful inspired shoot to life. I love the intimate vibe shown in this shoot with relaxed seating around one of my favorite new coffee tables and the small and personal ceremony set-up. Be sure to check out all the fun details designed by Beth Helmstetter and beautifully captured by Braedon Flynn in the latest issue of Destination I Do and over at Inspired By This.
I absolutely love this wedding. Everything about this celebration is incredibly beautiful from the gorgeous couple, Meg and Carver, to the amazing photos from onelove photography. I adore the color palette and the classic character of the event. I want to stare at these photos for the rest of the afternoon. Join me will you?

In this inspired shoot, mint and brass combined with the gorgeous location played the backdrop for the perfect vision for any bride. Our first time working with Adrian Jon Photography, I absolutely love the combination of color and textures and look forward to more collaboration with this awesome group of vendors.
