Jose Villa Workshop…

I am SO excited to share this post with you all! I am absolutely in love with every picutre, the design, the location, the colors…ALL of it! When Jill Le Fleur asked if we would like to be a part of Jose’s workshop again, we were ecstatic to say the least! The last workshop was absolutely beautiful and we were thrilled to have been a part of it! When Jill sent over the inspiration board for this one, I got chills. Fall is my favorite time of year and Jill did an amazing job incorporating all of the elements that epitomize the warmth and coziness of what fall is all about!

If you didn’t get a chance to see this feature on Green Wedding Shoes yesterday….You must! There are so many more great photos to check out!

I painted these large wood spools in the color palette that Jill had put together. We wanted to do something a bit different for the altar…I think it came out beautifully!  I made a few lampshades out of some sweaters I picked up at a thrift store….and wrapped some of the candles with the arms and cuffs of the sweaters :) Easy and inexpensive way to spruce up some plain candles. Yes, I collect old spools of yarn and thread. I LOVE them! I had so much fun making these embroidery hoops with gray flannel, linen & felt with some pretty linen flowers…Combined with the industrial drafting table and stool, it is the perfect juxtaposition.

You might remember the sneak peak from a couple months ago…

Doesn’t it make you want to snuggle up with a cozy blanket and a good book? I would love to hear if you love it as much as I do?

Caught Blushing with Joel Serrato…

Found has had a crush on Joel Serrato for quite some time. When we learned we’d be working alongside him with the ever-talented Jill La Fleur and Jose Villa, it’s safe to say we were more than a little giddy. It was such an honor to be included in this workshop. Joel recently sent us this film, beautifully documenting the shoot. Check out photos from the workshop here.

…Stephanie and Tyler’s Wedding

This is my kind of wedding. There is literally nothing about it that I am not completely in love with. I am so excited to see my furniture used so beautifully! This is a perfect example of how to mix church pews with Chiavari’s to create an amazingly intimate space. They are so completely different, but look so perfect together. I love the mixture of new and old, and when put together properly, there is no comparison. Gorgeous. It is always an honor to work with the amazing Jill Le Fleur and Jose Villa. There is no doubt why I am so proud of this post…the talent it took to put all of this together + the resulting images = priceless!

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

An Amazing Workshop…

I am so excited to be sharing these pictures on my blog!!! I was beyond thrilled when Jill La Fluer contacted us to be a part of her workshop by having some of our furniture there. To be asked to work with such amazingly talented people in this industry is humbling and flattering at the same time. I instantly got to work on some new pieces that fit with her inspiration board. I found the settee below and had it reupholstered in a blush velvet, made some pillows with fabric flowers in the same fabric & crafted the lampshades below (just in case they might have been able to use them over the table scape, which I’m so glad they were)! Allison and I loaded up Patty (the name of our 2nd boxtruck-the 1st one we call Gunther), and headed up to the amazing Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. We did a lot of heavy lifting, sweating, and moving of things around to get it just right, but I couldn’t be happier with the end result. Jose Villa sent us a disc of all the images in less than two weeks after the workshop (which was in May) so I have been dying to share them for over two months! I mean everyone knows how amazing Jose is, but to see my furniture in his images, what an honor.

I am truly blessed to have been a part of this amazing workshop! What do you think?
