We couldn’t be happier about this collaboration with Mary from The Loft on Pine, a brand new event venue in Long Beach. We were so excited that she was willing to let us cozy up this beautiful space like we love to do. We knew it would be the perfect canvas….don’t you agree?
As a little treat, Talmadge Lowe from Pharmacie shared a recipe for these amazing cocktails. The Novelist
2 oz Honey
1 oz Lime
1/2 oz Absinthe
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice and shake vigorously. Then strain into a coupe glass.
We hope that this holiday season you find beauty, inspiration and warmth.
Thank you to all of the following people who participated graciously to make this shoot all that I was hoping it to be. I respect you all immensely, and feel lucky to call you my friends:
As I’m sure you know by now, I’m quite a fan of Ruche and each and every one of their beautiful look books. This week they made yet another stunning addition to their collection of gorgeously styled shoots showing off the season’s newest line. With a nautical inspiration, the look book portrays the moments we dream of for the perfect summer – and the outfits too! Here are just a few of my favorite photos from the shoot, but make sure to check out the whole look book over at Ruche.
I couldn’t be more excited this morning to share our take on Summer ’13 in our newest look book, “Feels Like Home.” This shoot developed from my recent picking trips and additions to the collection which have inspired me in many ways. In the last several months I have not been able to get enough of the gorgeously handmade indigo fabrics that grace the pages of this look book, leather whose distressed features tell the story of its past, and pieces with an Americana vibe. “Feels Like Home” is a portrayal of what I love about summer. It is the comfy and the intimate. It’s the family gathered around the dining table and the connection of friends forgetting the time in good conversation. It is 4th of July celebrations and nights under the stars. It is a sort of comfort that can be materialized in just about any setting….weddings, parties, or intimate affairs. It is home.
Erica Elizabeth gorgeously designed her new Spring ’13 line based on Jane Campion’s film Bright Star and its depiction of the romance between John Keats and Fanny Brawne. Taking from that inspiration, this English garden shoot alludes to the romance and simple beauty of the film. With Stephanie Williams behind the camera, it is no surprise that every shot is absolutely breathtaking.
I never doubt that the launch of a new Ruche look book means a collection of gorgeous and unique photos. Each and every time I think to myself that the new shoot couldn’t possibly top the previous, yet I am continually proven wrong by the amazingly creative team at Ruche. Tea for Two, the newest look book for spring, is absolutely incredible. I haven’t stopped flipping through the photos for days. The charming and whimsical scenes are just delightful.
Make sure to view the whole look book over at Ruche and check out the video from the shoot!
One thing I always know I can count on is a stunning Ruche look book. I know even before the launch that I will be in love with each and every photo. Ruche’s newest lookbook, En Pointe, soared beyond my expectations. This “ballerina in the city” inspired winter shoot is elegant, sophisticated, and striking. Stephanie Williams constantly seems to capture the beauty in every moment. We absolutely love every opportunity we are given to collaborate with both Stephanie and Ruche. Unfortunately, now I want each piece of clothing in the winter collection, regardless of whether it is necessary for Southern California weather. Ruche incorporated these Found pieces into this gorgeous shoot: the Cress Velvet Chair, Flora Gold Chair, Rollins Screen, Temecula Gold Tray, Jordana Blush Settee, and the Francine Vanity Mirror
If you’re looking for me, I’ll be in front of my computer on ShopRuche.com thinking up reasons that I must have pieces from the lookbook :)
This Threadsence shoot took place a few months ago but I have been dying to share it and figured better late than never, right? I love the way they used these pieces, and does the setting look familiar? It’s Elly, the new home of Found Vintage Rentals (before we moved in) :)
