There is much to love in this Victorian Tea Party inspired shoot. Avec Toi Events chose amazing details to really bring this shoot to life. With vintage and pastel cups and saucers, gingham upholstery, flowing gowns, and tasty macaroons every element is infused with the shoot’s inspiration. Not only a great inspiration for the big day, but also for a bridal shower, birthday party or baby shower.
I never doubt that the launch of a new Ruche look book means a collection of gorgeous and unique photos. Each and every time I think to myself that the new shoot couldn’t possibly top the previous, yet I am continually proven wrong by the amazingly creative team at Ruche. Tea for Two, the newest look book for spring, is absolutely incredible. I haven’t stopped flipping through the photos for days. The charming and whimsical scenes are just delightful.
Make sure to view the whole look book over at Ruche and check out the video from the shoot!
Chippy teal paint, need I say more? Kaitlin obviously loves this color as much as I do because those are the pieces from my inventory that she was drawn to. She and Josh did an amazing job of making their backyard wedding a beautiful representation of who they are. Love it!
I wish I had time to blog every time I bought something new for my inventory…but that, I have resolved, would be impossible. It seems to be happening almost daily! But here are just a few of my latest finds.
The Celeste White Vanity is a very popular item in my inventory, so when I came across a similar one, I thought it can’t hurt to have two, right? I wanted it to have a different look but I have to admit, I don’t love to paint furniture. I prefer to find things naturally worn, weathered and chipped. But sometimes you gotta just bite the bullet and make things look the way you wish it did “naturally.” A little sanding, painting and staining and the end result….
I don’t always have pictures to show what some of my pieces looked like “before” but those of you who follow me on Twitter might remember my excitement when I found this beauty….Sorry about the not-so-great iphone picture
And after re-upholstering it in white velvet….I love it even more.
Farm table with casters. Enough said. It has a leaf that when taken out makes a perfect size for just about anything.
I am thrilled about this white table. It has chippy paint, and rolled legs. Need I say more? Oh, and it seats 10 very comfortably.
We have also added about 50 more items to the online gallery that have been in the inventory for a while, but we had not yet put them online. Check back often, or send us an email directly, we might have what you are looking for even if you don’t see it on the website.
It would be next to impossible to describe how super cool a Hitched event is. Pictures have been all over the blogs for weeks showing the wonderful time that was had at The Ace in Palm Springs that wonderful evening. I never get sick of reliving the evening through photographs….hence the reason I am posting on my own blog some pretties from the evening…
My heart melts for the amazing Bash, Please girls and the fantastical Urbanic wonder who put it all together…aren’t they lovely?
There were so many wonderful pictures taken…..here are just a few….credit given under each picture.
If you haven’t yet seen the Sew in Love feature in Utterly Engaged’s latest issue, you should. We’re excited to share the inspiration that we found as we collaborated on this wedding dress-centric project.
When the UE girls said “sew”, Jeni’s mind immediately started reeling with mannequins, vintage sewing tables, and notions galore. She loves anything having to do with fabric (that’s probably why she’s constantly reupholstering things) and this photo shoot was right up her alley. Bolts of fabric, dollies, vintage spools, clothespins, and a glamorous vanity vignette resulted.
The white ladders and sewing machine tables provided a crisp clean backdrop for this fashion-focused photo shoot. The gold touches in the chandeliers and King Louis chairs added the chic accents this Vanity Fair-inspired shoot required.
Aren’t the florals from JL Designs striking? And we just love the gorgeous cake from Sweet & Saucy Shop. They both rocked the old-meets-new vibe.
