December 12th…

Who doesn’t love a little white feathered wreath? This perfect little striped cashmere scarf that I picked up for $1 has been used in so many of my holiday decorations over the years. They both look so perfect on the doors at Joel’s studio. This is a perfect example of less is more (sometimes).

December 10th…

These wood pieces are left over from our reclaimed wood pergolas that we built for our inventory, and I just love them so much. I couldn’t just scrap them and although they are not very functional, they look perfect when grouped together in 3’s and put in a cool corner of a room. They were originally beams from a barn in Michigan that was built in 1968…how could I ever throw something like these away? Add a little mercury glass, some greenery, and of course a vintage chair with some French ticking, and you’ve got yourself the perfect little vignette.

December 6th…

This is my favorite chair in our inventory. We even named it Jeni because I love it so much. Some people might look at it and think it is a piece of junk, falling apart, in need of repair. But I think it is perfectly perfect. I love finding old French chairs with the original fabric, holding so much character and history in every last stitch. And the aged Christmas tree just pairs so nicely with it, don’t you think?
