Exciting News!

I write this letter with so much excitement it’s ridiculous! Anybody that knows me, can agree that I am not one that can sit still for very long. I am a busy bee (it drives Joel crazy) and I am always thinking of new things to be doing. I’m a dreamer, and love what I do so much, that I just want to continue to see it grow in so many different ways.

So it is with a very full heart (and a bit of fear and uncertainty) that I announce our exciting new venture….The Found Shop! An actual brick and mortar that will be an extension of our online store! In addition to the found objects, custom pieces, and handmade goods you are accustomed to seeing on the site, we will also be carrying everything you may have been buying over at the beautiful, Oh, Hello Friend Shop. Why, you ask? Because the owner and my dear friend, Danni, is moving on to new and beautiful things {read her story here}, and we will be taking over the wonderful shop that she created and built into a hub of the Fullerton Community over the last three years. Danni holds a very special place in my heart, as she was my very first email inquiry when I started Found Vintage Rentals over 6 years ago and our friendship has just continued to grow over the years. When she mentioned to me that she was having thoughts of closing her store {selfishly I will admit}, I was heartbroken. The kids and I shop there all the time, and it has definitely become our “go to” shop for presents and cards, and anything cute and fun. So to say I was sad to imagine it gone, would be an understatement. When her decision was made, I mentioned to her that I would love to carry on the torch that she lit….she smiled, and it was then that I knew that it was the right decision for both of us. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Danni and her husband Nick, I am truly blessed to have them in my life. I hope to carry their torch strong, and make them very proud with the transition of the store that they created. Danni put together this wonderful Q&A to answer any questions you may have during this transition. We will be  starting a bit of construction on the store next week and will be announcing updates along the way via The Found Shop instagram, so follow along!  Our Grand Opening will take place on Saturday, June 11th and we would love for you to stop by and say hello!

Joel drew this beautiful picture for me for Mothers Day and I thought it was the perfect image to share. I am so lucky to have his undying love and support…even with all the crazy that I come up with….he is there, with helping hands, and a beautiful card to let me know we are in this together.

with a very full heart,

~jeni
