I couldn’t be more excited this morning to share our take on Summer ’13 in our newest look book, “Feels Like Home.” This shoot developed from my recent picking trips and additions to the collection which have inspired me in many ways. In the last several months I have not been able to get enough of the gorgeously handmade indigo fabrics that grace the pages of this look book, leather whose distressed features tell the story of its past, and pieces with an Americana vibe. “Feels Like Home” is a portrayal of what I love about summer. It is the comfy and the intimate. It’s the family gathered around the dining table and the connection of friends forgetting the time in good conversation. It is 4th of July celebrations and nights under the stars. It is a sort of comfort that can be materialized in just about any setting….weddings, parties, or intimate affairs. It is home.
Erica Elizabeth gorgeously designed her new Spring ’13 line based on Jane Campion’s film Bright Star and its depiction of the romance between John Keats and Fanny Brawne. Taking from that inspiration, this English garden shoot alludes to the romance and simple beauty of the film. With Stephanie Williams behind the camera, it is no surprise that every shot is absolutely breathtaking.
I thought I would start off this gloomy Monday morning with the beautiful Spring Lookbook from Shop Ruche. I am always honored when they use our pieces for their lookbooks and amazed by the concepts and creativity that play out so beautifully on every page. Every last one of these gorgeous pictures (taken by the amazingly talented Elizabeth Messina) puts me in a trance!
Check out the entire lookbook at Ruche and watch the video from the shoot
Shop Ruche has become my favorite place to shop! I am so lucky that their warehouse is here in Fullerton so I get to pick up my pretties within a day or two of placing an order :) Spoiled!!! If you haven’t already, you should check them out! They really are just as fantastic as the pages of their lookbooks make them seem!
So, So, SO honored to have our Indiana Jones Inspired shoot featured on Green Wedding Shoes today! I was a little nervous about this idea when Josh from Casa De Perrin contacted me about the concept….but we worked hard to pull it off, and I couldn’t be any more proud of the end result. I love working on shoots with my hubby…he so good! And there is no doubt that wonderfulness will happen when Honey & Poppies and Pitbulls and Posies are on board. Check it out…
The ladies of Bash, Please never cease to amaze me with the beauty and style they bring to each and every one of their weddings. I love the soft, muted palette, set against the beautiful Malibu coast. Pure beauty.
I was so excited to see this English Garden shoot designed by the amazing Kelly Oshiro featured in a magazine & on Ruffled blog! Everything about it is absolutely stunning and I couldn’t be happier that we were a part of it! I have never been to Rancho Dos Pueblos, but after seeing these pictures, I am dying to check it out!
